How fees work
Insurance we work with
We are in network with some plans and out of network with others. Most PPO plans can reimburse part of an out-of-network visit. Tell us your plan and we will check before your first session. We do not bill Medicare or Medi-Cal.

If you pay yourself
Your fee is given to you in writing before you book. A limited number of reduced-fee sessions are held each month; ask when you write to us. We ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a session.

Receipts for reimbursement
Each month we can send an itemized receipt, called a superbill, to the person who pays. It carries a diagnosis code, which a plan will see. A plan sends its statements to the policyholder, so a teen who wants to keep a visit private should ask us about options before the first session. Your plan decides whether it pays you back.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before you start, and we give you a written estimate in advance. If a bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract. You can read more at cms.gov/nosurprises.
Checking your benefits
Before your first session, someone from the practice will go through your plan's benefits with you, or with the parent who holds the plan, and tell you what to ask your plan. We cannot promise what a plan will pay.
